 Kim received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Methodist University and her Masters in Professional Counseling from Amberton University.  She received her post-graduate certificate as a Professional Art Therapist from the Art Therapy Institute in Dallas and is recognized by the American Academy of Grief Counseling as a certified grief counselor.  Kim completed her counseling and art therapy practium experiences in the psychiatric unit at a local children's hospital working with children of all ages and their families.  Kim is skilled in art therapy and play therapy, often using filial therapy to teach parents how to use play therapy techiques with their children at home.  Kim has been married for 30 years, has two children and three grandchildren. She is an avid watercolor artist.
